Baby Shower for Cassie!

I think it has almost been 2 years since Bryce and I met Cassie and Nate.  I actually went to High School with Cassie at Jordan but we reconnected when Katie invited me to hang out with them. All I can say is I am BEYOND grateful that our paths crossed because our friendship with the Turner's has impacted our lives. I know they will be our friends forever.  

I asked Cassie if she wanted to climb one day and she told me she was sick. Jokingly I said "Maybe your pregnant!" She text me back and said "I AM!" I don't think I have ever been brought to tears so fast. I left the office and went to call her right away! Cassie and Nate will make the best parents because they are two of the most wonderful people we know. I CAN NOT WAIT TO MEET WYATT! (If they still decide to name him that) :) 

The first part of her pregnancy Cassie was EXTREMELY sick! I'm talking puking everywhere, going to the hospital kind of sick! I felt awful for her. If I could take the sickness to give her a break I would have! I remember thinking "OH geez, poor Cass! This is going to be a long one!" Luckily the sickness got better after the first few months and her pregnancy flew by! Baby Turner is almost ready to arrive! I can't believe he is almost here!!! I'm so excited, I feel like I am having a baby! But its actually better for me because I can play with him, hold him, spoil him and then give him to Cass when he has a poop explosion all over his cloth diaper! haha At this CURRENT moment in time she says she is using cloth diapers, no formula, natural birth. (We will see how long that lasts. haha) That is not surprising at all. Nate and Cass are going to have one healthy baby! 

We had her baby shower at my house. My mom was so proud. :) She said she doesn't even know who I am. I have NEVER done a baby shower, bridal shower, or anything of that nature in my life. But I REALLY wanted to do one for Cass. I actually surprised myself with my Martha Stewart skills.  My mom helped me with food and chairs. She is so wonderful. We had a blast! I didn't know people actually still play games at these things so I spend the last 24 hours before the wedding frantically brainstorming aka Google-ing what to do!

Fall time in LCC & Girls Day Road Trip

This past weekend we had to dog sit while my parents went to St. George to support my sister running a marathon. Running has always been really hard for me so I admire my sister so much! Not only is it physically exhausting but after about 4 miles my brain starts to work against me.  Mindi did great and ran the marathon in 4 1/2 hours! 

Meanwhile, back at the zoo, we were about to go crazy with so many dogs. Having 4 dogs in the house wasn't that bad....until they all started using our new carpet as a toilet! Our house seriously smelt like an outhouse and Bryce stepped on a giant log of poop! We are dog lovers! However, our patience were definitely tested. Its safe to say children are not in the near future for us. 

To escape the madness, we decided to go climb in Little Cottonwood for the day. Fall has arrived and the send temps are here! We got there and everything was wet and covered with snow! :( So we decided to go to Octoberfest until the sun dried up some of the boulders. Nate joined us. He too was going insane from being chained to the house by his crutches.  We had a good time!

We ran into Josh and had a great time bouldering with him. Ashley and Josh have always been so nice to us. We enjoy seeing them. :)

Bryce worked "Bear Hug" V8 and got the beta figured out. He went back Monday night by himself and sent it!

Girls Bouldering Road Trip!

Sunday we got a call from Michael Finger. He wanted Bryce to go to Joe's for the day. They had projects in mind and I didn't want to stay home alone so I asked Em to drive down and spend a girls day with me. We had so much fun! If you think Joe's is beautiful, its even more beautiful in the fall! We took a different drive there and it was SOOOO beautiful! We both sent "Thigh Master" V7 and got shut down on everything else we tried. Ratings are stupid. We really don't think its a 7 but whatevs! We'll take it! We had a blast and that's all that is important. I spend the day with a beautiful person in the most beautiful place! Perfect end to a weekend! :)
